Book Review - Fablehaven by Brandon Mull

Fablehaven by Brandon Mull

I purchased the first book in this series when I was with my mom and sisters at time out for women in Idaho Falls. I finally started it and couldn't put it down. It is technically written for young adult readers, but I thoroughly enjoyed these three books and can't wait for number 4. The basic gist of the story is a brother and sister end up visiting their grandparents who they barely know only to find their way into a refuge for mythical and magical creatures. All three books deal with threats to not only this refuge but others and how Seth and Kendra fight the evil and try and save the world. There is a lot of great description but it isn't over done. My 13 year old daughter has to be threatened within an inch of her life to put the books down and get her stuff done. I highly recommend these books. I am reading it to my 6 year old who is intrigued, but there are some big words.

I'm definitely going to have to check out this series. I'm almost done rereading my Louis L'amour collection and I'm in need of some new good books. Thanks for the recommendation. Do you think Matt would like it?
