Favorite Things Friday - spatula & popcorn

One thing about doing Favorite Things Friday is that I realize how many favorite things I have. I also am always on the look out for other things that might become favorites. So I am trying new things and being slightly adventuresome. So this has been a fun post for me to do.
So without further ado...

Pampered Chef Spatula

I am usually not a person who enjoys candle, pampered chef and so on parties. I always feel pressured to buy things that either I don't want or need. But one time I bought this little gadget and have been in love ever since. In fact I sent my only one with my son and husband to a wrestling dinner party to serve the brownies I had made. Low and behold my spatula went missing. I then purchased 4 spatulas the next time I found someone who carried pampered chef. These babies only go for $4 each so they aren't a huge investment. They are perfect for brownies or any other kind of bar cookies. They are small enough to get into those hard to reach, first serving pieces. They don't take up a huge amount of room in my drawer and are great for scraping countertops after rolling out pie crust, to remove the flour and dough before cleaning. I highly recommend this item.

Orville Redenbacher's Natural Popcorn (Butter Flavor)

This popcorn comes in a variety of flavors..

Buttery Garlic
Simply Salted
Buttery Salt & Cracked Pepper
Butter
Simply Salted 50% less Salt

I personally have only tried the butter (natural flavor) and really like it. It has the perfect amount of butter and the popcorn is fluffy. Even my daughter Courtney said she thought it was better than what we usually use (she volunteered this information without being asked). I think Safeway sells all the flavors except the butter one, but I found it at Albertsons. Double check because not all Albertsons carry the same thing. You can only buy strawberry marshmallows at the north Auburn store as well as this popcorn. If anyone tries the other flavors and wants to share their opinion, please do so. I would love to know how the cracked pepper and garlic one tastes. Thanks!

So those are the 2 favorite things for this week. I would go out of my way to get either of these items because they make me happy.

Why is it called natural? I'm intrigued. I'm wondering if Matt and I would like it because we are the type to ask for extra, extra butter at the movie theater. There isn't enough if it doesn't leave your hands greasy. Does this fit that description?

Yes, I will be getting one of those spatulas. Thanks for the recommendation! I only get invited to Pampered Chef parties about twice a week (Welcome to Mormonville) so it shouldn't be too hard to track one down.

It isn't overly buttery, but that is the way I like it. I am not an "extra butter please" at the concession stand (especially since I know it isn't real butter, don't be fooled). But you definitely taste the butter because the popcorn has such a light and lucious taste. To me it is like grocery store peaches and peaches fresh from a Yakima fruit stand by the road. But again, this is just one person's opinion.
